Advocate Chanchal Gupta: A Lawyer Beyond Courtrooms, Serving Justice and Society

At Vidhik Seva Law Firm, we firmly believe that law is not confined to courtrooms. It is equally about serving society, protecting rights, and ensuring justice for all. Our Founder, Advocate Chanchal Gupta, has built his professional journey on this very philosophy. His career is marked not only by legal excellence but also by impactful social initiatives that have touched the lives of lakhs of citizens across Madhya Pradesh and India.

A Vision of Justice with Social Responsibility

Advocate Chanchal Gupta strongly believes that every citizen has duties beyond their family — towards society and the nation. Guided by this vision, he has consistently taken up issues of public interest and led initiatives that uphold transparency, fairness, and justice. His efforts stand as a testament to how legal knowledge, when combined with social commitment, can create real change.

Key Social Initiatives

1. LPG Helpline (2013–2016): Protecting Consumer Rights
In 2013, Advocate Gupta launched the LPG Helpline (www.lpghelpline.com), a first-of-its-kind platform in India dedicated to domestic gas consumers. Through this initiative, he worked to spread awareness, resolve grievances, and curb black-marketing in LPG distribution. Between 2013 and 2016, the helpline successfully assisted nearly 200,000 consumers nationwide, ensuring that households could access LPG fairly and without exploitation.

2. Right to Education and the “Jago Palak Jago” Movement (2020–2021)
Education has always been a core concern for Advocate Gupta. He has been a consistent voice for affordable, accessible, and equitable education in Madhya Pradesh, actively pushing for the regulation of private school fees and improvement of government schools.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when families across India faced economic hardship, private schools continued to impose arbitrary fees for online education. To counter this injustice, he launched the “Jago Palak Jago” (Wake Up Parents) campaign, mobilizing thousands of parents across the state.

His efforts extended from public mobilization to the legal arena, where he filed Public Interest Litigations (PILs) before the Madhya Pradesh High Court and even the Supreme Court of India. These actions secured relief for lakhs of parents and students, ensuring that education during the pandemic remained fair and just.

3. Anti-Corruption Initiative – Free Public Parking at Rajbada, Indore
Advocate Gupta has been unwavering in his fight against corruption. A notable example of his anti-corruption work was at the government parking lot at Subhash Chowk, Rajbada, Indore, where illegal operators were extorting citizens through unlawful fee collection.

Through his intervention, the parking lot was freed from such exploitation, restoring free parking access for thousands of people. This initiative reinforced his commitment to transparency, accountability, and public welfare.

4. Legal Battle Against Chit Fund Fraud (2018–Present)
Since 2018, Advocate Gupta has been representing hundreds of victims of the chit fund company Swaraj India Real Estate Pvt. Ltd. Many innocent investors had lost their lifelong savings in this fraudulent scheme.

Through a determined legal battle, he has already secured the return of deposits for many victims, helping them recover their hard-earned money. The matter is still pending before the courts, and he continues to fight so that many more investors may receive justice. This ongoing struggle symbolizes his dedication to protecting citizens from exploitation and financial fraud.

A Broader Commitment to Society

While these four initiatives are some of his most visible contributions, they represent only a fraction of Advocate Gupta’s social work. His efforts span across multiple areas, including education, healthcare, employment, fighting corruption, and securing justice for the underprivileged.

The range of his initiatives is too vast to fully document here, yet they all reflect a common thread — a deep sense of duty towards society and a belief that law is a powerful instrument for social change.

Conclusion

From launching the LPG Helpline to leading the “Jago Palak Jago” education movement, from restoring free public parking at Rajbada to fighting the chit fund scam in courts, Advocate Chanchal Gupta has consistently shown that the practice of law is not limited to litigation.

His journey illustrates how legal expertise, when combined with integrity and social responsibility, can bring about meaningful change. At Vidhik Seva Law Firm, his vision continues to inspire us — to serve our clients with excellence and to contribute to society with unwavering commitment.
